We are excited to announce that the EPFC Board of Directors have signed a contract with Glick Fire Equipment Company, Inc. for the purchase of a new Pierce engine. This engine will be an add-on to our existing fleet, and upon its delivery in 2025 will be a primary response truck.
These purchase of this apparatus will allow us to provide better overall fire protection to the residents of Cheltenham Township.

Engine 3 will be a 2025 Pierce Enforcer Pumper. Engine 3 will have a 2000 GPM dual-stage pump, 500 gallons of water, 68’ of ground ladders, 1200’ of 5” LDH, 600’ of 3.00” deadlay, (2) 200’ of 1.75” crosslays, (1) 300’ of 1.75” rear attack line, (1) 400’ of 1.75” rear attack line, (1) 300’ of 2.00” attack line, and (1) 400’ of 3.00” w/ a Blitzfire, and seating for (6) Firefighters. Engine 3 will respond first out to all reported Commercial and Residential Building Fires, Alarms, & Investigations, Brush/Field fires, Unknown Type Fires, and Trash/Dumpster Fires.
Utility 3 is a versatile support vehicle used by our fire company, designed to assist with manpower and logistics during emergency operations. It is a 2020 Ford F-350 Turbo Diesel, providing robust performance and reliability. The vehicle is equipped with an 8-foot Reading body, offering ample storage for tools, equipment, and other support materials required on scene. Its primary role is transporting additional personnel to incident sites and carrying the necessary support equipment to enhance response efficiency. With its turbocharged diesel engine, Utility 3 offers a balance of power and fuel efficiency, ensuring it can handle diverse assignments and navigate various terrains. Its spacious design and versatile cargo capacity make it an indispensable asset to our emergency response team.
