We are a 100% volunteer organization providing fire and rescue services to the communities of Melrose Park and Elkins Park, among others, since 1892. Elkins Park Fire Company is a cornerstone of the community. In addition to our emergency response efforts, we host regular events to promote community engagement:
Elkins Park Fire Company, Station #3, is one of four volunteer fire company districts within Cheltenham Township in Montgomery County, PA.
Our district is connected to Philadelphia on the southern edge of Cheltenham Township and Abington Township on the northern edge. Our primary response district travels east to New Second Street, and to the west, to Old York Road from Cheltenham Avenue up to Church Road, and to Washington Lane from Church Road up to Township Line Road.
If you’ve ever dreamed about becoming a volunteer, now is the time!
First Tuesday of Each Month: Company Business Meeting starting at 7:00 PM EST. Here, we take some time out to address administrative matters and provide an opportunity for open discussion among our members.
Every Tuesday (excluding the first of the month): Our Weekly Drill Night starts at 7:00 PM EST. Open to anyone! We focus on essential, introductory firefighting skills. Anyone interested in volunteering with us can get a taste of what firefighters do, and explore the skills and services you would be expected to learn.
